A new Applications Lab Track has been added to the program schedule at the 2008 R&D Applications Seminar.

This exciting Applications Lab Track will feature the use of product samples to more effectively demonstrate an ingredient’s functionality, or its application in a finished consumer product or model system.

For example, one track may showcase a series of hydrocolloid gum samples [Guar, Xanthan, etc.] to more vividly demonstrate the ingredients’ functionality under varying conditions [temperature, viscosity, acidity, etc].

Another track might feature a series of consumer products samples [baked goods] with varying levels of an ingredient [fiber] to help demonstrate the effect on mouthfeel, taste, color, moisture and appearance.

The 2008 R&D Seminar will feature separate Applications Lab sessions on Monday and Tuesday. The high-tech, acoustically vibrant, executive-style, Trillium Amphitheater will house the 90-minute Applications Lab sessions. Wednesday morning will feature 6, 60-minute Applications Lab sessions.
