Using Natural Stone in Commercial Projects
What do architects and commercial contractors working with natural stone need to know to be successful? By attending this event, you will gain the following insight:
- Cladding methods. A chance to learn more about exterior stone cladding methods (stone handset to concrete shear walls, stone handset to metal studs, steel truss panel systems with mechanically anchored stone, steel truss with metal backpans, and stone adhered with silicone). This session includes a review of several successful and unsuccessful stone installations.
- Value of being an MIA accredited commercial contractor. Learn first hand from the instructor about how becoming an accredited shop can impact your business.
- Specification compliance. The opportunity to learn more about specification compliance and how to not be caught off guard.
- Installation tips. The prospect of gaining practical tips about installing stone in commercial projects. You'll participate in a discussion about how to save money, impact safety, prepare bids, and much more.
