Dr. B.H. Kueper (PhD, Waterloo) is a Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He specializes in the behavior and remediation of organic contaminants in fractured rock, with particular focus on DNAPLs, such as chlorinated solvents, PCB oils, creosote, and coal tar. He is an Associate Editor with the Journal of Ground Water and a former Associate Editor with the Journal of Contaminant Hydrogeology and the Canadian Geotechnical Journal. Dr. Kueper has published widely on the topic of DNAPL behavior and remediation. He is a popular short-course instructor who has participated in over 70 short courses worldwide in the past 20 years. He has also provided expert consulting services to a variety of private and government organizations in the United States, Canada, South America, Australia and Europe, and has extensive experience dealing with practical issues at hazardous waste sites.
