Multi-Layer Powder Applications for Steel and Heat Sensitive Substrates

This presentation will deal with the ability to apply two powder coat applications within the same powder booth followed by a co cure.  Single biggest issue in the past when a dry on dry application has been used, is that the resultant color and appearance when compared to traditional processing of the powders were not acceptable.  New technology allows for all current powders to take advantage of a two coating single booth application with co cure on both metals and plastics and yields similar or better appearance.  In addition the use of multi-coat applications in single booth and co cure reduces costs, provides a better appearance (Less Orange Peel) and raw material (Powder) costs are reduced by as much as 40%.
