The Use of SCR Power Controllers for
Industrial Applications

The presentation will introduce the functionality of SCR Power Controllers for industrial ovens and furnaces. We will describe the basic operational functions, the different operation modes, explaining their pro´s and con´s with regard to the use of different heating elements in different types of furnaces.
The second part of the presentation will focus on VSC or voltage sequence control, a special solution using SCR Power Controllers for transformer coupled heating elements which will improve power factor and reduce the number of harmonics within an oven or furnace. |
